Converting "Pitch Ratio"

A common method of describing the angle or slope of a roof is called "Pitch Ratio", this is expressed as (for example) "1 : 1.732 = 1 to 1.732, and it describes a right angle triangle that has a 1 metre vertical side (known as the Rise) and a 1.732 metre Horizontal side (known as the Run), this can be converted to "Rise/m Run" and "Roof Pitch" (Degree's) with simple Trigonometric calculations.
